• The Martha Ministry is offered as part of the funeral planning process at St. Theodore’s Church. It enables family and friends to gather for a reception in the parish hall after a 9:30 a.m. funeral of a loved one.     
      Volunteers set up the reception space in the parish hall, greet the families, serve the food that is provided by the family and clean up afterwards.
      A suggested donation for The Martha Ministry is $150.00. Cash or Checks made payable to St. Theodore’s Church.

  If you are interested in The Martha Ministry, please tell the parish funeral planner at your meeting and they will contact the Ministry Coordinator. The Coordinator will   contact you for information on the reception.
   
  Family Responsibilities
  · Provide an estimate of the number of people expected.
  · Tell the coordinator if you will be going to the cemetery or coming right to the reception.
  · Decide on the type of meal: breakfast, brunch, lunch.
  · Provide the food. It can be dropped off or delivered. The volunteers will receive the food from vendors.
  · Provide bottles of water, juice or pop.
  · Personalize the reception area with memorabilia, flowers, table decorations, video displays, etc.
  · Take home any left over food.
