In the Diocese of Rochester’s history, beginning in 1948 through the mid-60’s, the Knights of Peter Claver were a solid foundation of Catholic Faith, Action, Worship, Service, and Fellowship among our Black Catholic Community. Today the KoPC is a diverse community of believers that includes Catholic men, women, young adults, and youth – ages 7 and older of all races and ethnic backgrounds. They collaborated in many worthwhile efforts with both the Knights of Columbus and the Knights of St. John for the care of all the Diocesan family of Rochester.
